Kerala Actress/Model Trisha Krishnan: Animal Love Personified | Photos | Video

If there is a Bollywood actress who could personify love for animals, it is no other than the Kerala-born beauty Trisha Krishnan (see photo).

Aside from being known as an actress and product endorser of various product brands, she is also recognized as a Goodwill Ambassador for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). Trisha is a dog lover. She appealed to the Indian public in 2010 to take care of stray dogs instead of pedigreed breeds.

I really believe that there is genuine kindness beneath her sweet and innocent smile. I love her! Here, she is posing with a cute dog for PETA's "Angel for Animals" campaign in below photo:

Born on May 4, 1983 in Kerala, this pretty desi girl won beauty pageants like Miss Madras in 1999 before being noticed by South Indian film makers. Soon she made her debut in a supporting role though the Tamil movie "Jodi".

It was not long before she was cast in lead roles that was noticed by fans and critics alike, most notably in critically-acclaimed box office hits "Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule" in 2007 and "Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana" in 2005 (see filmography below).

As a celebrity, it is inevitable that Trisha Krishnan was implicated in several controversies and scandal. One of which was an almost three-minute nude bathing video that was propagated through the Internet in 2004. In 2010, she was reportedly on the list of a notorious Nigerian drug trafficker. In both cases, she sued the media for their unprofessional conduct and sensationalism. I totally agree. They are only exploiting her celebrity status to sell more newspapers and to attract more viewers.
