Alleged Prostitutes Divya Sri, Sweta Basu | Bollywood Scandals | Photos

September 2014 came in with a string of scandals that rocked Bollywood to the core. We are talking about the shocking news that some actresses of Indian cinema have been alleged and charged as prostitutes.

They are no other than Divya Sri and Sweta Basu (see photo).

Of course you know who they are by now. In the coming days, we expect more to be revealed. Sri Divya has announced to the press that she is not the one being referred to in the "prostitution scandal".

It is really a wonder how a simple word twist could create such a big confusion.  Someday, we might have someone named Obama Barack who would claim that he is not the president of the United States! Hahaha.

This site believes that she is telling the truth. The "Divya Sri" implicated in the news after being caught in a police raid in Guntur was said to have played a role in "B Tech Babu". She is not the one nominated for the Vijay Award for Best Debut Actress for the Tamil film "Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam" in 2013.

This case of mistaken identity, I think, is a by-product of hyperactive male hormones that cause fantasies on the more famous and prominent actress. And by the look of these innocent but sexy images below, I would say, I couldn't blame them (click photo to enlarge).

Meanwhile, the other scandal that rocked Bollywood is the police raid of a prostitution ring at a posh hotel in Banjara Hills in Hyderabad, which allegedly caught Sweta Basu while doing her service on a client. The mega-celebrity Deepika Padukone has recently defended her as a victim of the ugly side of Indian cinema.

Sweta Basu is a 23-year old actress. She is a former child star whose performance in the 2002 Hindi film "Makdee" earned her the National Film Award for Best Child Artist. In 2005, she was likewise acclaimed by critics in her role as "Khadja" in the film "Iqbal" (also in Hindi) for which she won the Star Screen Award for Best Supporting Actress and was nominated for the same recognition in the IIFA awards. Three years after, she was nominated for the Filmfare Award - Best Actress in the Telugu film "Kotaha Bangaru Lokam".

Here are more photos of Sweta Basu.
