BJP party candidate Narendra Modi and His Cheergirls | Photos

If the major exit polls are to be believed, the next prime minister of India would be none other than Narendra Modi of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Their electoral victory - even if you do not agree with them - is quite extraordinary, with the opposition and its allies sweeping to attain the majority in parliament. Yes, and they did it in the world biggest ever election. More so, Narendra Modi (see photo) is also the country's most controversial leader since the Gujarat riots in 2002.

But enough about politics, he enjoys having five most ardent desi girls as his staunch supporters and cheergirls. I personally think Narendra Modi has the advantage of being strongly defended by female beauty and brains. Yes, admirable female Indian faces and personalities go beyond the realms of Bollywood! They are the following (with profiles and photos):

1) Asifa Khan - A seasoned journalist, Khan is the BJP party leader and former state Congress spokeswoman, who is based in Gujarat. Being a devout Muslim, she is his most outspoken ally that could draw in the so-called "Islamic vote".

2) Meenakshi Lekhi - When accusations fly regarding the 2002 riot cases, the lawyer Meenakshi Lekhi is first to defend the beleaguered candidate. She says that he is pronounced guilty by some quarters even after he proven innocent by the court of law.

3) Kirron Kher - An Indian theater, film and TV actress and talk show host, she is a party member who is also his vociferous supporter. She has won various National Film awards for various roles as lead and supporting actress.

4) Smriti Irani -  She is a politician and former model, television actress and producer. Irani is one of the prominent women leaders of the BJP.

5) Shaina NC - A fashion designer who turned into a politician. She seconded the nomination for Prime Minister at the Gujarat assembly by Smriti Irani. She is the first woman Treasurer of the BJP in Maharastra.

The moral lesson of the story: If you want to run in Indian politics, be a true leader and make sure you have BEAUTIFUL AND BRAINY CHEERGIRLS! Haha. Comments please.

Congress Candidate, Bollywood Actress Nagma (Nandita Morarji) | Photos | Video

As of this writing, Bollywood actress Nagma - whose real name is Nandita Morarji - allegedly slapped an unruly youth who physically harassed her during a campaign sortie in Jali Kothi area (see video below). The incident happened just a few days after Congress MLA Gajraj Singh tried to kiss her in public in another electoral campaign meeting. The actress is currently running for Congress.

The hot but innocent-looking Nagma (see photo) was born on December 25, (Christmas day) 1974 in Mumbai. She came from a well-off family, having renowned industrialist Gokuldas Morarji as her great grandfather. Her debut in Bollywood came through the film "Baaghi: A Rebel for Love" in 1990. She was active in show business almost two decades.

She is more remembered for her role as Sruthi in the 1994 movie "Kadhalan", which earned her the Filmfare Best Actress Award (Tamil) and in "Dulha Milal Dildar" for which she was acclaimed as best actress in the Bhojpuri Film Awards. Her younger sister Jyothika is also a critically-acclaimed Indian film actress. Here are the famous siblings in photo below.
