Sexy Indian Model Turned Bollywood Actress Bipasha Basu | Photos | Movies List

Frequently portrayed in media as a sex symbol for her hot kissing scenes and provocative poses in movies and photos, Indian actress Bipasha Basu was a model before her successful career in Bollywood.

Bipasha was born on January 7, 1979 in New Delhi, Delhi. During her teens she was encouraged to take up modeling and won the Godrej Cinthol and Ford Supermodel of the World contests. She was brought to New York (United States) by the Ford Company. Her exotic face and slim body became one of the most recognizable in the world after she became a cover girl for more than three dozen magazines.

With a curvaceous and sexy body like hers (see photo below), it is not surprising that she made her mark in the fashion world!

Soon, she went back to India to pursue an acting career. Her debut came in 2001, through the movie "Ajnabee". Although she played the role of a villainess (negative role), her acting was warmly received by audiences and critics. In 2003, Miss Basu took everybody by surprise for her bold role in "Jism", a film from the erotic thriller genre.

With the success of "No Entry", "Corporate" and "Dhoom 2", Bipasha's status as a commercially-successful and "bankable star" was established. We wish her success in her acting career!

By the way, “Bips” (her nickname) has been romantically linked to Dino Morea (1996–2002) and John Abraham (2002–2011). But she is not getting married in the near future. Reach for the stars and dream, boys!
